In 2001 Jimmy Velvit was nominated for a Grammy Award. Jimmy Velvit was in the running of the 44th Annual Grammy awards, for "Best Pop Vocal Album" Entitled, "Sun Sea & Sand". Jimmy Velvit found himslef in competition with many of today's current Pop Stars such as Rod Stewart, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Boz Scaggs, Lionel Richie, Eric Clapton and Brian Wilson. Although he didn't win that Grammy in 2002. Just being nominated was an honor. We know he'll win the next one.
